MARS Takes on CCSDS at West Plains

The MARS DIRTcar Series and the Arkansas based COMP Cams Super Dirt Series or CCSDS will do battle this Saturday night, August 13th at the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO. This will mark the third time this season that the two series have co-sanctioned a race at West Plains Motor Speedway. Previous winners include RC Whitwell of Tucson, AZ on July 2nd and Wendell Wallace from Batesville, AR on July 3rd.
An incredible field of super dirt late model drivers are scheduled to be on hand for this $3,000 to win and $400 to start race, including 6 time and defending MARS champion Terry Phillips, current MARS point leader Brad Looney, Jeremy Payne, Brandon McCormick, Tony Jackson Jr., Jesse Stovall, RC Whitwell, Leroy Johnson, Wendell Wallace, Justin Asplin, 5 time MARS champion and defending CCSDS champion Bill Frye, current CCSDS point leader Jon Mitchell, Jon Kirby, Jeff Sloan, Wesley Crutchfield, Terry Henson, Dewaine Hottinger, Kyle Beard, Johnny Virden, Billy Moyer Jr., Austin Rettig, Clay Fisher, Brandon Smith, Allen Murray, Curtis Cook, Ian Samuel, Shane Harris, Keith Lawson and more.
Tire rule for this race: LM40, WRS55, Spec 1600 BACK ONLY, Economy 1600 FRONT ONLY
In addition to the Late Models, the track will also have a full show for the Crate Late Models, USRA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, B-Mods and Super Stocks. Hot laps begin at 7:00pm with racing scheduled for 7:30pm. General admission is $18 for adults and $35 for a pit pass.
