POLL: Is rough driving getting out of hand in the Late Model Class?

I would like to know what people think about the current race conditions in the Late Model Class. Please feel free to expand on this topic.

Who was rough driving.Alot of the tie ups were just a couple of cars going for the same real estate.The Wallace and Dickenson deal was Dickenson just playing blocker.I can believe she put up with it for so many laps.She should of turned him alot earlier and she wuold of had more laps to get back to the front.Then him making a *** out of himself was classical.

All Dickenson was doing was exploiting her weakness... She can not pass on the outside.... she can only run one line around the track.. As for rough driving that has been the case every week all season, not all of it is intentional, there are drivers that are just driving over their heads... As for Wallace... if she would have passed him on the outside maybe even won the race...jmo

As for the rough driving I am sure that drivers are getting tired of fixing their cars, not to mention the expense....

Absolutely NO REASON a crash should occur when going down the straightaway....somebody turns somebody....they are not dirt cars, running sideways down the straights....some of the stuff I've seen this year just amazes me, Not throwing out any names...But my vote would be yes....

just have one question if kenny was blocking so bad that she turned him. What was the reason for almost turning the 45 coming out of turn two? he wasnt blocking. i dont think she has went one race without hitting at least one car in a heat race or feature. pretty much every other driver will race you clean and you dont have to worry about getting hit. jmo toby

people go to the race track to watch racing not to watch some people act like a bunch of idiots who can't control their tempers.to the women that was leaning on Miss Chrissy Wallace's car and blurt out she is a (**** and needs her *** beat),someone should have slapped your teeth out for saying that).now most people in the stands that were sitting around me were saying that he was blocking her and should not be doing what he was doing.then to take their kids to the pits and watch grown men acting like a bunch of hoosier;s.if you can't race with a women you are not a racer.then to try and hit and wreck her after the race you would have been put in jail for causing great bodily harm with a deadly weapon, so you should think about that.also to go to HER pit and do what you all did you should'nt be allowed to race at this track

******bag, can you name 1 driver that races there weekly that Chrissy hasn't hit? Kenny was running the bottom. Pretty simple to move up and pass on the outside. She must be scared of the high line because she has to move at least 2 or 3 cars out if her way every week. She could care less who she tears up or her own car for that matter because the track owns her car and she doesn't have to work on or pay for anything!! She better start respecting her fellow drivers and their equipment, or they are going to tear her up bad and possibly injure her in the process. She could win a race without running over people to do it.

I have no problem with girls racing, what I do have a problem with is girls racing that have NO business being on the track. When you hit every car out there just to pass them is what is really uncalled for. The black flag was in hand and shook several times at her why not let the flag down and use the thing for what it is for. He was not blocking her he was running his line, just happened to be the only one that she is able to run. Maybe if she would try a different lane and pass clean we would not have this problem. It is complete nonsense. She not only hit Kenny this week so what did the others do to her to deserve it? And as for the going to jail comment, why should he have gone to jail for those kind of charges but she would not have to all the other times that she has wrecked and even put in the wall other innocent people that she has tried to pass? She should take a ride every week if that was the case. Is it just because she is a girl and Kenny is a male? She should be able to take it like a man. JMO!!!!!

not true,every time she tried to pass him he would chop her off.she went high and low and clearly had the faster car than he so why did he hold her up?was he doing this to help his friends? hmmm seems to most of the fans he was .sit with the fans and listen to what they say you would see they don't like the way Miss Wallace is being raced

Very nicely said as well. What I cant stand is that Kenny was driving another fellow racers car to keep his points and she still does not care and would totally tear up whomever's equipment. You are right because she does not care and does not have to pay for a dang thing. Its not fair. There should be NO track cars at ANY track. Once again, JMO!!!!!!

I think this is what caused this whole deal.Kenny couldn't beat her with a good car either so he got all bent out of shape..And passing on the outside should be possible in a late model race but Kenny was driving like it was one of those Charger races and if you want to finish you got to know who you can pass on the outside and they won't do something stupid.Dickenson???? Pass on the inside,mental note.

Man it seems like I missed a good week lol hey d bag have you been out to tonys shop yet? i haven't seen you around here since he pretty much told you to put up or shut up and was wondering on the status of that deal. basic principle of racing you can catch a car but passing them is a different story. i have not seen chrissy pass on the outside all year long. not saying thats bad or good but she hasn't done it. was kenny blocking her yeah probably but i wasn't there but if she can't get around him without putting him in the wall try a different line jmo

I haven't seen any races this year, but if there is one car that's always involved in the on-track problems, then they probably are the problem.

Never, all the tracks make sure to keep their drivers under control.

Well with this class there is too much money involved and you race for too little to have to replace things every week because of the after math of one car. if that is the case, then I-44 needs some lessons on how to do that.

heres some pics of the #77 late model on 5 different sunday mornings so far this year , last year i didnt hav to work on the body on this race car at all, im not saying this is anyones falt it just seems to me that that yes the late models are being rougher this year.

This comment goes out to "the racer" and the infamous "d*o*u*c*h*bag," if either of you actually had a clue that might give your post some validity, I would give it some respect, since you don't, let me enlighten you a little bit. In reference to Kenny "blocking," I had a pretty good seat, (as far as seeing what happened) when you are the car in front of the other car, you have the preferred line, that means you get to run basically where you want to, "blocking" is when the car behind you shows you a fender and you don't hold your line, i.e., chop them off, or come up the track. Kenny ran the SAME LINE EVERY LAP, just like I did two weeks ago in the heat race when I got Chrissy-fied. I can ASSURE you that I didn't cut her off and can also ASSURE you that I WILL NOT TAKE IT ONE BIT. The only two vehicles she hasn't hit at the track this year has been the sheriffs car and the fire truck, and I'm not so sure that they're safe, I am sick and tired of it and everyone else is too. I, (along with alot of others) have raced with Kenny Dickinson alot over the past 18 years, and we might not have thanksgiving dinner together, but he has NEVER raced me dirty, ever, does he take every inch, yes, hes a good, smart racer. As far as the fans go, I could hear there so called "dis-pleasure" in my car under power as they put her to the rear, just like two weeks ago, they are sick of it too. Believe it or not I actually have no problem with girls racing,....I do have a problem with girls racing that make "Big Boy" mistakes and then go hollerin' to law enforcement, if you can dish it out, you better be willing to get some back. Here's the deal, plain and simple, I-44 Speedway's straight-aways are 20 feet wider than DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY, that's right, Daytona, down there in Florida, you now the real big one, and 43 cars can go around there 4 wide at 200 plus mph, You see where I'm going with this? yha mike i can relate, except mine has looked like that for about 6 sundays now,,and last year didn't break anything once untill my trailing arm broke and put me in the wall head on at the end of the straigway, and that was the last points race..now not have I only replaced everything three of four times but its been the high dollar parts,,racknpion's, spindels. calipers,rotors..and everything that connects..plus painted almost every week..so i've got a big YES on rought driving,,week befor last the flag man came down and kicked my car and said everybody hit you but the pace car, and he felt left out so I smiled.. I got slammed into twice on the side befor the green was even thrown by two differnt cars,,not metioning any names..atleast when me and mike and baltzel crash together we don't tear anything up except a little paint..but were not intenional doing it eaither, and that makes the difference in the damage that comes,,not metoinng any names,,but when drivers go to outher pits befor the race and ask them to block for them,,,,then thats were the crashes begin, and usly tears up the blockers car worst,,a lot of different drivers and attidues,,and for me i'm broke and may not be back, depends if we can get our motor fixed..yha mike, we've both had a bad year.. .

jamminjimmy--thanks for your honesty. It is getting pretty old to hear all the crying from the other so called racers. It is pretty bad when the good old boy network at a race track can not stand a new face beating them week in and week out. It is sad that they have to have their so called friends block a faster race car. Then there is the public display of stupidity when they get beat and have to bring the pack to someones pits and unleash a verbal assault! It has always been my motto to let people think your stupid instead of opening your mouth and removing all doubt that you are. It would be my suggestion that some people need to work on their cars and try to make them better and then engage their brain when they drive out on the race track. Kenny, you got away with one two weeks ago when you made a left hand turn into Chrissy on the front straightaway and tried to drive her into the infield--that was your freebie! If anyone has watched the races--there sure is a lot of spinning out and crashing way behind the 93 car not in front of it.As for which line you get passed in--does it matter? You never put yourself in between an idiot and the wall and it appears that you never try to pass on the bottom because some people mirror drive instead of trying to win races.

Why don't we all try something new. Let's act like racers and race the track and the other race cars on the track. Just because the driver of the car in front of you puts their pants on different doesn't mean you need to try and "take them out or seriously hurt them" like the threats have been made and attempted. Drive your race car and try to win races CLEANLY and so will we. As for all the off track rumors--know one has any business even talking about what they know nothing about.
